Originally established in the 19th century, this iron foundry provided most of the work in the local area. After closing down it fell into disrepair before being sympathetically restored. Below are two of the projects of this extensive site.
This former pump house that provided all the heat for the original Victorian foundry has been converted to provide a comprehensive health centre for the local community.

The main factory area that produced the cast iron items was partly demolished.
The remaining shell was converted into large, airy and comfortable live/work units.
The units were designed to enable the occupants to live and run their businesses on the same premises.
